Why has online filing been introduced?
The Inland Revenue have introduced this financial incentive for small businesses who submit their employer's annual return form
(P35) and end of year summary(s) form(s) (P14s) online. This is to encourage all employers to make greater use of new technology and to familiarise them with the benefits of e-business in general.

Do I qualify?
If you have fewer than 50 employees and you are required to complete a P11 working sheet or equivalent record (i.e. you must have at least one employee that earns above the lower earning limit of £79), then
you will qualify for the first payment of £250 for filing your 2004-2005 return online.

How is it paid?
When you receive confirmation that your online return has been accepted, you can reduce your payment of Tax and NIC by £250.
